What plants to put under bird bath? - bare bath blogspot

I have a birdbath in my garden. What we in the middle of the yard in full sun. It's pretty bare and I want to grow proposals on the kind of flowers and plants, such as around them. I live in northwest Georgia.

  1. Since the area under the bird bath is out of the shadow of certain dish birdbath, you can see some annuals, as some shade. I recommend getting impatient. You like a shadow, but tolderate a little sun and come in different colors.

If it mostly sunny, you can try petunias or begonias.

None of these plants grow on your birdbath, and they remain pretty much where you put it. You will be able to change the water in your birdbath without crushing plants as well as on.

Remove the end of the year, you and plant new next year. Plenty of variety, with annual plants. Have fun with it.

A tip: You probably already know, but I have things in people who do not. Birdbath water should be changed at least every 3 days (more often is better), because the West Nile virus can develop in the bathwater of the old birds. Stay safe and change the water every two days.

  3. Given its location, a source for birds in the hot sun all day, has a huge selection of options, all in the family and even the perennial succulents. If the shade, hostas, I would say, or even flowering ground cover, but perhaps a little pushy. You have several options. Good luck!

  5. Anything you want. Begonia is the sun a lot and I think that love geraniums just sun mothers (autumn), and Sun to read the labels on the plants.

This summer, my neighbor planted purple flowers in the soil around your birdbath. Then he put the same kind of purple flowers in the cauldron of the real basin. I do not know why the flowers, but was very pretty.

    Happy Gardening!
